Tournament Preview
"Believe in our systems" is our nationals catchphrase. 
Pre-tournament preparation has been a huge focus for the Otago Under 16 Girls. Drinking and eating well, stretching in pre-tournament week is essential to becoming your best version of yourself.     
    
We are proud in the knowledge that the girls have learned the simple things effectively this year, so when they move forward to other grades and teams, they are prepared well. Otago do very well in this regard.

Following our final Wednesday training run Grant Milne relayed to us he witnessed the best within squad line attack/defence session he has seen in his time in Otago. The opposed session was very positive, dynamic, and each unit was firing bullets at the defence. The execution and intensity was extremely impressive

As coach my personal feeling is the girls have thrived and now understand why we do what we do at training.  With our strong base the team will have the most fulfilling experience at junior nationals.  When they return the 2019 campaign will make them better athletes, but most importantly better people within.
