Touch is a fantastic game that can be enjoyed with any level of expertise.

Being an excellent park or social touch player does not necessarily convert into being an excellent representative player. The player that sidesteps many defenders, or scores plenty of touchdowns, or has the ball lots isn't necessarily going to be a good rep player.

Selectors look for:
1. confident ball carrier who will make ground, initiate a touch, and plant the ball speedily.
2. an attacker who is aware of space on the field, will spread wide, and identify mismatches.
3. an attacker who has a high conversion rate of attacks - touchdowns.
4. a defender who will work tirelessly and be aware of team working together on defence.
5. a defender who will move forward to restrict opposition and quickly get back onside.
6. a positive player who supports their team mates and is positive with officials.
